Benjamin Francis Leftwich

York musician Benjamin Francis Leftwich just popped on to my radar today. His Elliott Smith/Ryan Adams influenced floaty, melancholic vocals and deft finger-picking are perfect for fans in the middle of Jose Gonzales and Iron and Wine. Four songs will come together in an Ian Grimble (Mumford & Sons) produced EP called “A Million Miles Out” (out on Oct. 25th), with the full length out in March of next year.

Check out the first track off the EP called “Atlas Hands”.

Also, here’s his version of “When You Were Young” by The Killers.
