What : I was wondering when I might be able to hear a bit from this bands upcoming record ‘Wooden Bones’. A follow up to Pilot Speed ‘s (formerly Pilate ) 2006’s ‘Into The West ‘ comes a record focused more on the song itself. Moving away from lengthy, sonically intricate, shoe gazy music the band has written what they call their best work to date, art songs with hooks each under four-and-a-half minutes. Here’s a strong foot forward with Put The Phone Down , something that makes me think of The National with the vocals pitch’ed up.
