Indie Music Filter: Best Of August 2015 (PLAYLISTS)

It was a bit of a slower month for new music, but these “best of August” playlists came together quite nicely. VIDEO: “White Is Red” by Death From Above 1979

If you’ve spent a ton of time with Death From Above 1979‘s latest album The Physical World (like me), you’ll know all about one of the albums’ standouts in “White Is Red”. Check out the Eva Michon directed video for the track, comprised of clips from the duo’s feature documentary Life After Death From Above 1979, capturing their rise, fall out and epic reunion. The documentary was released late last year and is currently available here (and I have no idea why I haven’t even seen it yet….).

Video: “Virgins” by Death From Above 1979

It’s good to get an update on how these folks are doing. Since being introduced to Keys N Krates, they’ve now moved on to some harder rock. Check out the video for “Virgins”, from dance-punk duo Death From Above 1979 off their latest album The Physical World. The video was directed by Eva Michon, who also directed the “Life After Death From Above 1979”, the feature documentary that captures the band rise, fall out and epically reunite. It’s been another great year for new music, 2014 did not disappoint at all. This post is always my favourite one to put together, the problem is always trying to keep the number of songs down.
