“Shore Pine Walk” by Canadian songwriter Matt Paxton of Hamilton,Ontario. The video was a collaboration with Simeon Taylor of the Vancouver Institute of Art, filmed on the shores of Vancouver, British Columbia, the same location where the song was originally written.
Again, I’m intrigued by what’s coming out from Hamilton Record label Other Songs Music Co. The label that believes “Art is the new steel” had their camp get in touch with me in March to put Allosaurus on my radar. Now, I’m hearing about Canadian songwriter Matt Paxton and his single “Factory Town”, set for release on July 31st. Paxton is a Hamilton based songwriter who is no stranger to the road, touring and sharing stages with the likes of Jason Collett (Broken Social Scene) and Chad VanGaalen. This single follows up “Shore Pine Walk“, also a gem in this rough we call the blogosphere.
