motor shine

In October last year we shared Chicago indie rockers Filligar new track “Photos Of Madrid” and predicted quite a few things in terms of their sound taking a little hop and skip toward a new direction – a direction we were only too ecstatic to hear.  Now they’re working on their sixth album and shared another gem with us called “Motor Shine”.  According to Paste – where the song just premiered – the new album was recorded in a studio that the band built inside an old boat warehouse in California.  “Motor Shine” and its hooky chorus allow for Jonny Mathias’s vocals to lead the way yet again, and the soothing familiarity and warmth of the melody certainly sound as relaxed as the summertime in California and really only mean one thing: we can’t wait to hear the rest of the album!
