Video: “Silly Ghost” by The Majority Says

Since hitting our radar with their tune “114” a few years back, The Majority Says have been preparing for big things.  With the launch of their debut full-length album in but a couple weeks, the Swedish indie pop group just released the accompanying video for their tune “Silly Ghost” and like the song itself, it’s a beauty.

Hanna Antonssen’s sweet and delicate vocals float above the building folk track, reminiscent of what it might sound like if Ellie Goulding fronted Mumford & Sons or The Lumineers.  At its biggest moments, The Majority Says delivers everything you would expect and more, including a powerful chorus of “aahs” and a spirited stomp along rhythm, but it’s the song’s softest points that allow the band’s unique textures and melancholic lyrics to shine through.

The Majority Says’ self-titled debut album comes out July 25th, and they’re touring throughout Germany this fall.
