Currently Listening To: Priory
Priory are a Portland, Oregon-based indie-pop/electronic-folk band comprised of Brandon Johnson (vocals, bass), Kyle Dieker (acoustic guitar, keys, bells, falsetto), Rich Preinesberger (drums), and Greg Harpel (lead guitar, bells, keys). Following up 2010’s “Cold Hands” EP with their debut, the self-titled full-length album (via Expunged Records).
Try out “Lady Of Late” (for fans of Modest Mouse, Cold War Kids).

Have you tried the Sirius: Face the Music contest yet? The lucky town in Ontario who wins will be getting an intimate concert with Bedouin Soundclash and Broken Social Scene (the subject of the infographic above). Did you know their self-titled 2005 album was original titled “Windsurfing Nation”? I didn’t.
Brush up everyone, it might come up in the contest questions.
Another from Milagres
Milagres has popped back on my radar again with a new track called “Here To Stay”. What better way to get to know a band than one of these types of videos. Head to The Village Voice to hear “Here To Stay”.
If you’ll recall, I was blown away by their song “Glowing Mouth”, which also sounds great on an Big Ugly Yellow Couch.

Sun Room
J. Irvin Dally is set to release his new limited-edition vinyl 7″ Sun Room / Teething on Bay Area’s Pretty Blue Presents. Take a listen at his bandcamp. In support of the release, J. Irvin will be leaving his newly adopted home of LA (where he played some significant shows via Buzzbands LA, Rollo & Grady, Friends With Both Arms) and touring up the west coast (dates below).
Here’s “Sun Room“, which works perfect in my living room. If you dig it, you’ll probably like his cover of the Stones’ “Wild Horses”. Get that track the backwards way, by “liking” it on facebook. *I almost never recommend you like something before you hear it, but this time trust me.
