Benjamin Francis Leftwich is set to release his debut album Last Smoke Before The Snowstorm on June 20th (via Dirty Hit). As just 21 years of age, Ben’s been turning heads via his ‘A Million Miles Out’ and ‘Pictures’ EPs, stripped down covers, and sold out tours. His debut record features songs born from when he was a teenager teaching himself how to play the guitar and was produced by Ian Grimble (Mumford & Sons, Manic Street Preachers) like the EPs. I’m a big fan of his songs, perfect for those quieter moments. Hushed elegant vocals combined with “simple, inviting guitar lines, delicate melodies and poetic lyrics with graceful charm”.
