Broken Social Scene
New Music From: The Clash at Demonhead (Metric)
The Clash at Demonhead is a new name to me, yet a familiar sound. They’re the Montreal art-rock band in Edgar Wright’s upcoming Michael Sera movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, played in the movie by Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Brandon Routh. Providing the music for that bands’ songs in the movie in non-other than Metric.
The song that makes it into the film is Black Sheep, a b-side to 2009’s Fantasies that almost made it on. Check it out at Metric’s Facebook app.
Other bands in the movie have had their songs supplied by Beck, Broken Social Scene and Dan The Automator.

Might rent a boat this year to avoid ferry lines….
