Can you believe it’s May already? Time flies when you’re listening to good music.
April delivered just like March, with some great new music from Digitalism, NVDES, Phoria, Caveman and Broods, with newcomers RYDER, Romes and The Royal Foundry.

I’ve got another Caveman track to get up on the blog. Here’s “80 West”, which comes from the bands’ forthcoming album Otero War. “80 West”, along with highly received single “Never Going Back” that I posted back in February, and others, will be released by Cinematic Music Group (Joey Bada$$, G Hebro, Cam’ron) on June 17th, 2016.
Caveman are also kicking off an extensive North American tour with Frightened Rabbit this month, where the band will preview new songs from Otero War. Additionally, the band is scheduled to play several major festivals this summer including Shaky Knees in Atlanta, GA, Forecastle in Louisville, KY, Panorama in NYC and Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco, CA, which was just announced.
Hearing this tune, I’m wondering if Caveman should have been included on that Grateful Dead compilation album (“Day Of The Dead“).
Take a listen to “80 West”.
There’s no slowing down with great new music in 2016, with February putting up a strong answer to what was an incredible January. Take a listen to some new music from Gypsy & The Cat, Bravestation, Phoria, Miike Snow along with IMF newcomers Diskopunk and Coast Modern.
Something for everyone.

New York’s Caveman have just announced their upcoming album Otero War, along with the first single track “Never Going Back”. Created over the course of three years (unlike how 2011’s CoCo Beware and their 2013 self-titled LP came together), the band have produced what they call their biggest-sounding, most ambitious album yet.
Otero War will be released on Cinematic Music Group this summer. The band will tour extensively in support of the album, including festival appearances at SXSW, Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, GA, Forecastle in Louisville, KY and more to be announced very soon.
Take a listen to “Never Going Back”.
