All Over

I got a note from Philadelphia artist Andy States this week, telling me some great news, that his band Cruiser (now called CRUISR out of respect for the existing Scottish band Cruiser) had signed with one of my favourite record labels, Vagrant Records. Vagrant is set to release a three song EP called All Over, which was produced and mixed by Andrew Maury (RAC, Panama Wedding, Ra Ra Riot) and demonstrates how fantastically Andy’s mind is able to translate pop hooks.

Philadelphia native Andy States (aka Cruiser) is back with some new music, check out his new track “Kidnap Me”. This would have been perfect in August, but I’ll just put it on now and try to think of hotter days.

Listening back to this EP from Philadelphia native Andy States (aka Cruiser). Do you know these tracks? I posted a link to it back in June and noted that the songs where produced by Jeremy Park (producer of Youth Lagoon’s The Year of Hibernation) after he heard a few of the first demos from States. Here come the summer albums!

Todays’ great find was at We All Want Someone with Will’s post about Philadelphia-based beach-pop project Cruiser. The band is Andy States and he just released his self-titled debut EP on Memorial Day, which was produced by Jeremy Park (Youth Lagoon). The 6 song effort has few weak points so far, I’m thinking this will have a solid run on my summer rotation. Maybe my Honeymoon soundtrack for sitting on the dock? Its below, check it out.
