New music from Decoder Ring, video for ‘Beat The Twilight’
151, now 49. E-mails in my Indie Music Filter inbox last week to today. Good news is that the 49 that are left, are all things I want to mention on the site. So, I’ll be doubling up as much as possible to get back on track. Really can’t believe that one week of vacation has put me this far behind, perhaps last week was an optimal time to release indie music?
I was happy to see an e-mail in my inbox from Australia’s purveyors of melodically cinematic soundscapes, Decoder Ring. The band are set to release their new album They Blind The Stars, And The Wild Team in the US (hopefully Canada as well) this summer. The album, their first since 2006s critically acclaimed, Somersault (OTS), sees the band augmenting their vast aural playground while staying firmly guided by their unique and unparalleled writing style. Think Eno, Mogwai, Sigur Ros.
