“Right Action” by Franz Ferdinand, from the album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action (out aug 27th).
I love how a band can just come out of nowhere and drop a couple new tunes in your lap. Glasgow’s Franz Ferdinand have unveiled “Love Illumination”and “Right Action”, two fun, catchy songs off their upcoming album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action. Pre-order the album via Domino Records here.

-still catching up.
-putting together a song pitch for a movie
-thinking about what tomorrow night’s Band Of Skulls Toronto show might be like? Heard of them yet? Check iTunes free download this week (US and Can from what I can tell). It’s called I Know What I Am and somehow makes me think its Black Mountain doing a Franz Ferdinand track.
-scratching a spider bite? wtf?
-checking out Conor Oberst’s new single Nikorette. Never been the biggest fan of the next Bob Dylan, but I’d throw this tune on a road trip playlist. Look for a documentary about him and his band.
-remembering Stellastar* while listening to their new song ‘Graffiti Eyes‘, set to launch as a single (April 20th), air on Gossip Girl that night, then ramp up to a new album (July 7th). Its on their myspace.
-looking at the snow on the ground.
-tapping my foot while Lissvik‘s remix of Fever Ray‘s ‘When I Grow Up‘ plays in the background. Find it at Pasta Primavera.
-embedding the Eulogies ‘Anonymous‘ Widget. Check it out.
Who do you think did more work for this video?? The animator or the t-shirt models?
The song is called D.A.N.C.E by Paris’s dj duo Justice. They perform wild sets like seen here, which makes me think of what church would look like if people came straight from the rave. This electro duo made up of Gaspard Aug (aka ‘The Moustache’) & Xavier de Rosnay (aka ‘The China’) have had quite a few hits. Chance are, you’ve heard this one. Go looking for the remixes, Justice has remixed artists such as DFA 1979, Daft Punk, Mystery Jets, and Franz Ferdinand.
My favorite track right now?? Phantom by Justice, check it out.
