“Run” (ft. Brothertiger) by Germany Germany

Have you heard the latest from Victoria, Canada musician Drew Harris (aka Germany Germany)?  “Run” features the vocals of Brothertiger and is from Germany Germany‘s third full-length album Reconnect.  Harris, a do-it-yourself enthusiast, combines lo-fi with hi-fi to create infectious, heartfelt pop music.  The album was created while Drew was living in Victoria (Canada), Ottawa (Canada) and Brooklyn and is inspired by travel, love, distance, friendship and loss.

Take a listen to music in a poppier direction for west coast artist Germany Germany, on an album he has coming out on July 16th called Blank Mind Empty Heart.  The vocals come care of  the albums’ producer Kotomi, check out “With You” and their cover of “Real Hero” by College/Electric Youth (the track a lot of us fell in love with from the Drive soundtrack).

The cure for some recent inbox staleness.  Check out the official video for “Take Me Home“, a track off of Germany Germany‘s forthcoming album “Adventures”.  Germany Germany is Victoria, BC artist/student Drew Harris and this track is a taste of whats to come off the 17-track Cassette, available mid May for $5  via Bandcamp, pre-orders will start on May 1st at distorteddisco.com.

This video is comprised of clips from Marsmädchen, an independent film from Germany-based filmmaker Sophia Emmerich, featuring an almost-exclusively Germany Germany soundtrack. Marsmädchen is Sophia’s first full-length film and was filmed in Freiberg, Germany.
