New music from Doves ‘Jetstream’

I am excited. Got an e-mail today from Doves about things going on in their world. In case you forgot about these guys, they’ve been in the studio for three years working on their new record called Kingdom of Rust. Today, they want you to hear the opening song off the 11 song album. Its called Jetstream and you can download it for free by going to their website and joining their mailing list. The song was written as an imaginary song for the closing credits of Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. I think it could work, why not?

The album comes out April 6th on Heavenly Records, we’ll hear the title track of the album a little earlier on March 30th. Here’s the tracklisting.

“Jetstream” / “Kingdom Of Rust” / “The Outsiders” /
“Winter Hill” / “10.03” / “The Greatest Denier” /
“Birds Flew Backwards” / “Spellbound” /
“Compulsion” / “House Of Mirrors” / “Lifelines”

As well, if you’re lucky enough to live in England, they’ll be playing a series of intimate tourdates to test out the new record on lucky listeners. Make sure you’re on the mailing list, this is the only way to be able to get tickets (you’ll be e-mailed days before the show for an opportunity to attend).
