The Museum Pieces

I’ve never seen a record label before record a song about itself and make a video… awesome. Check out Haligonians Tyler Messick (guitar/vocals) and Andy March (drums) from the record label Youth Club. But this post will focus on the band behind the label, The Museum Pieces.
The band was formed in 2003 and since have put out a couple discs (full length, 2 eps) since. After releasing the critically acclaimed LP ‘Philadelphia‘ the band started Youth Club Records, home to Sharp Like Knives, Special Noise and The Ghost Bees. Think music jumping between folk-rock and post-punk, ‘while maintaining a baladeers approach to liricism and songwriting’.

Head to the bands myspace page to hear some songs, Stayed Too Long (which you can download) is dark and moody, Eye Of My Mind‘s chorus will stay in your head for weeks…. Click here to download It Keeps Me Up (video).

Think I’ll be catching this guys when they play the Virgin fest on Sept 9th.
