Woodkid, A Talent Of Epic Proportions
There is much to be said about Yoann Lemoine, the French artist, director and musician that surprised the world with his talent of epic proportions as Woodkid. We already knew him as the director of many great music videos, such as Lana Del Rey’s “Born to Die” and “Blue Jeans“, but his debut album, “The Golden Age“, released in March, revealed an all-encompassing level of creativity, putting music and image together in the service of art and awe.
Now Woodkid surprised the public again, reinventing the main singles “Iron” and “I Love You” with the help of a quintet (piano, violin, cello, viola and double bass). The result is a beautiful, breathtaking rendition of two tracks that were already strokes of genius.
