Lydia Ainsworth‘s experimental pop sounds can only be described as magical.  The Toronto-based songstress has been making waves on the festival circuit, just finishing a series of showcases at CMJ and M for Montreal, and her debut release ‘Right from Real’ (released on Arbutus Records in September) has quickly become one of my favourite albums of 2014.

Listening to her music it is no surprise that she trained in film composition at both McGill and NYU — her songs are ethereal, cinematic, and breathtaking.
