With quick-punching snares we’re introduced to the first new solo material from Neko Case in over three years.  “Man” is a showcase of compositional bravado, compressing swirling guitar work by M. Ward, galloping rhythm, and absolute lyrical tenacity, all in only three and a half minutes.

While Case has shown exquisite at portraying abrasive lyrical honesty against delicate backdrops, this track really stands apart by showing off her temper in all facets of a track. This is a real treat from someone who has always been more than capable.
