ode to subterrania

Move the furniture, I’m dancing here! The chair had no chance as I leapt off it the minute Hooded Fangs’ “Ode to Subterrania” song started streaming. The Toronto natives’ latest video was apparently directed by Daniel Lee who just so happens to be the lead singer/songwriter for the band too. It is somewhat a visual ode to psychobabble sessions fueled by inkblotted drawings. Exposing a sound that is dripping in psychedelic 60’s tempo, whilst roaring through layers of post-punk and modern synth. Taken from their album ‘Gravez’ – which you can find here, and to make matters even better, see them in 3D at these venues in June (dates below, list snatched from Stereogum).
