Pale Sketcher

Justin K. Broadrick of the experimental rock metal band Jesu now goes by the name Pale Sketcher;musically stripping ‘his sound of anything even resembling conventional metal, replacing guitars with synthesizers and drums with machines, but maintaining his penchant for bleakly beautiful sounds’. The idea for this record came from a 2007 Jesu album called Pale Sketches, where he wrote an albums-worth of tracks that didnt quite fit theJesu mold: skeletal, synthesizer-laced compositions that relied more on subtlety and atmosphere. Recently Broadrick began de-mixing these tracks and now we have Jesu: Pale Sketches De-Mixed (out on Ghostly International on August 24th, 2010).
