“Philadelphia” by Paper Lions, off the album My Friends. Channeling the nostalgia of the bands’ family vacations of past, Colin Buchanan of Paper Lions says of the video “There are a lot of awkward moments in this video. Those uncomfortable, awkward moments that capture that strange point in your life when you are held at bay by your age. Being treated like a child, but you feel like an adult.”
Check out the video for “My Friend” by Paper Lions, from the album with a similar name My Friends. Shot on the beautiful Charlottetown waterfront, the band got together with good friend and fellow Belfast native Mille Clarkes and used three different lighting techniques for the three different videos they shot.

Granted, the wait until August is still three months away for Paper Lions second LP release “My Friends”, but to calm the coo they have offered their single ‘Philadelphia’ for free download! The song introduces itself with a calming and slow paced vocal that breezes into a buzzing Indie Rock track that connects the distorted guitar riffs with hook laden pop beats.
Charlottetown indie pop-rockers, Paper Lions are currently on a cross-country fall tour to support their recently released At Long Creek acoustic EP. Sponsored by Exclaim! Magazine, the band are making twenty stops from coast to coast, including 2 performances at Pop Montreal last month and one in Toronto next weekend (with openers Danielle Duval and Jordan Klassen).
Guess what Toronto folk, this post could be your ticket in.
