Caught Me On An Upswing

Celebrating my blog birthday with some new music from Maryland band Prinze George. The trio comprised of Kenny Grimm (production/instrumental), Naomi Almquist (vocals) and Isabelle De Leon (drums) have only been making music since 2013, are now regularly touted as one of the more up-and-coming indie acts of this past year. First “Victor”, then “Make Me”, now check out “Upswing”.

It’s been another great year for new music, 2014 did not disappoint at all. This post is always my favourite one to put together, the problem is always trying to keep the number of songs down. New From Prinze George, “Make Me”

Back in January, we all helped Brooklyn band Prinze George get the song “Victor” out there, which in March reached #1 on the Hype Machine. Well, the band are back with a new track called “Make Me”, that is probably on its way to the same place. New summer jam anyone?

Currently Listening To: Prinze George

I’m playing catch-up here on e-mail and checking feeds, as the last few days were spent making the long trip from Toronto to Cannes for the MIDEM music conference (running tomorrow into next week). I’m plugged in and online, blogging from a coffee table in an old villa in the old town of Cannes, minutes away from the water. It’s beautiful here, really looking forward to exploring it tonight and in the coming days.

I’ve found a new band to dig, a newly formed indie rock / electronica / pop trio from Brooklyn, NY called Prinze George. At the moment, they’re working on their EP, hoping for an early spring release. In the meantime though, we can hear their first two singles, “Children In The Audience“, and their latest – “Victor” (below).
