Currently Listening To: Moon King
Got 6 minutes? Dive straight into this propulsive and epic groove from Toronto duo Moon King from their upcoming Last Gang release of “Secret Life” (out April 14th). Songwriter Daniel Benjamin and singer/guitarist Maddy Wilde have “crafted a raw, rapturous & emotional record documenting their ascent from an airy conceptual project into a powerful live band”. The album has them recording live off the floor, with the help of live sound engineer Noah Giffin (Owen Pallett, Austra, Diana) then mixed in New York with Jacob Portrait of Unknown Mortal Orchestra/Blouse.
I’m interested to hear more, but completely content to start off with this track “Roswell”.
Moon King will be touring Europe and the UK with Alvvays later this month, details for their upcoming North American tour will be announced soon.
