A little while back we were able to tell you that Sun Airway was putting out their debut album Nocturne of Exploded Crystal Chandelier on October 26th, but until this morning, we didn’t know who’d be doing it. Now we’ve learned that that home is Dead Oceans.
Wooing the label with the bands’ kaleidoscopic production, lush electronic washes, synthetic textures, pulsing rhythms, and hooks in hazy pop bliss, the label just wasn’t able to keep the album away from their speakers.
To go along with the other tracks we’ve posted (or included on Indie Music Filter V.7), try on ‘Oh, Naoko‘. Here’s the visuals they add for the live show.
Also, check out a recent remix they did of Here We Go Magic‘s ‘Casual’.

Can’t get enough of this band at the moment. To add to the posts I’ve written here, I needed to have Sun Airway‘s ‘Waiting On You’ lead off yesterdays Indie Music Filter v.7 (presented by Aux.tv). Well, I’ve got more to share with you from their camp. You can listen to the bands’ song ‘Oh, Naoko’ in the video below, which isn’t the official video for the song, but the projections the bands display while playing the track live. Put together by The Klip Collective, the one features a myriad of reflecting lights from chandeliers which work perfectly with the song. Waiting On You has a live accompaniment as well.
The album “Nocturne of Exploded Crystal Chandelier” will be availableon October 26th.

Brookylyn duo The Hundred in the Hands is Eleanore Everdell and Jason Friedman. Making music thats bridging the electronic and the organic, I’m getting the feeling (three listens in) that I should have known about this band months ago. Definitelyrecommended.
Check out ‘Pigeons’.

I actually came across this band while keeping up with Philly duo Sun Airway. The guys have recently remixed the THITH track ‘Ghosts’ for RCRD LBL, which you can download for freehere. And if you’re looking for more, I’d recommend a stop off on youtube for Tom Tom.
“Waiting On You” by Sun Airway. In the highest rotation here possible, since we first heard it and proclaimed it the track of the week on Aux back in May. (found @ Yours Tru.ly)
