Toronto-based quartet Heartbeat Hotel are exciting to be moving in an exciting new direction with their debut 7″ single on Cobra Cobra Records called “The Hello Barrel”. Sounding quite different from the phaze-pop “Windowsill1″ which we recommended a little while back, this track will satisfy Fleet Foxes, Beach House and Yukon Blonde fans for its rich harmonies and wistful lyrics.
Heartbeat Hotel originated in Peterborough, ON as the indie-pop group Mariposa, before moving to a warehouse space in Toronto. They’ll play the Piston (937 Bloor St W) June 3 with Boys Who Say No and HUT.
