Indie Music Filter: Best Of August 2015 (PLAYLISTS)

It was a bit of a slower month for new music, but these “best of August” playlists came together quite nicely.  Whether you prefer to listen via Soundcloud, Rdio or Spotify, I’ve got some brand new tunes featuring the return of Half Moon Run, GEMS and Saintseneca, new tunes from CHVRCHES and Foals plus a couple surprises in Good Field, Steven A. LISTEN: “SPIRITS” by The Strumbellas

Have you heard the latest song from Lindsay, Ontario-bred indie folk band The Strumbellas?  Chances are, you’ll get hooked on the catchiness of “Spirits” (like I did) and be humming it into the evening.  The song comes from the bands’ forthcoming album and was produced by LA Producer/Engineer, Dave Schiffman (Johnny Cash, Haim, Weezer).
