We’ll Go Far
Always good to put faces to those names, e-mails and voices on the other end of the phone.
Last week while on my trip to LA, I was fortunately enough to head by the Echo to check out one of Evan Voytas‘s residency nights and finally meet him in person. A couple years back, Evan came on to my radar from reading blogs and we posted as much as we could from this talented, then NY based multi-instrumentalist. I liked his stuff so much that I approached him to represent his songs to television/film/advertising opportunities in my day job, and since then, we’ve been able to get him some exposure on TV shows up here in Canada. In pitching bands, its an ongoing process, so hopefully we’ll be able to do more.
Evan has since started showing up on blogs (recently Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, Line Of Best Fit) with his new music from an EP called “Tomorrow Night We’ll Go Anywhere”. You can stream the EP here. Of the new ones, I’m partial to “Astro”, the title track “Tomorrow Night We’ll Go Anywhere” (which you can download here) and my fave below in “We’ll Go Far”.
