What are you listening to?

Everyone probably knows about my deep obsession with Paramore, so their new record has been blowing my mind. I’ve also been spinning Andy Shauf‘s new record (The Bearer Of Bad News) a lot. Currently, I’m really digging this song called “Open” by Rhye, I’ve been wanting to place it ever since I heard it.

About Dondrea:

Dondrea does music supervision at Instinct Entertainment. She helps place music in a number of projects including Cracked (CBC) and Beauty and the Beast (CW/Showcase).

On My Radar: Chairlift, Bon Iver, The Drums

Some great things found on the blogs today.

-Here’s a sample of whats to come off the upcoming release from Chairlift, a track called “Amanaemonesia” off Cool As Fire.  Found at From Go to Whoa.

-Spin takes us into Justin Vernons’ studio for a tour/interview, found over at IGIF.  The things you can find on Craigslist.

-Loving this new Yuksek remix of Noah and the Whale‘s “Life Is Life”.

-Also, like Everbody Taste, Bill Baird‘s “Wino Strut” has crept its way under my skin.  Have been fascinated with this artist since Echotone.

-The Drums have some details of their sophomore album Portamento. It will for sure be out in the UK in Sept, but will still have to wait to find out when it will be available on this side of the pond.  Here’s the first single “Money”.  Found at Exclaim!.

Give It All Back

noah and the whale

Taking a minute today to watch Noah and The Whale perform the song “Give It All Back” in RAK Studios.  Their album Last Night On Earth is out today on this side of the pond and has been getting rave reviews so far.  I must admit, I’m more of a singles or video kind of guy, but generally, whenever this band has had something new for me, I’ve been quick to post it.

I’ve got tunes on today from The Head and The Heart, who I didn’t know of until reading about them on Music For Kids Who Can’t Read Good.  Think I’ll finish my day over at We All Want Someone To Shout For, listening to a new track from The National.
