JAWS the four piece indie poppers from England who formed the band two years ago, have recently announced they’ll be putting out a debut album titled, “Be Slowly” on the 15th September via Rattlepop. So it’s only fitting that their first single is the title track, one that seeps into that sweet dreamy pleasure zone guitar bands from yesteryear usually bring to mind. The video matches the song perfectly, hazy layers of Connor Schofield’s vocal intertwined with jangly surf-pop guitar rhythms. Sure this one will make its way onto your playlists, it’s a pretty irresistible replayer plus, you’ll Be swaying Slowly in no time.

With a debut full length coming out this year and their new track “St. Patrick”, so far from what I’ve heard from PVRIS you may be a little taken aback by how much poppier this particular track is in comparison, even lead vocalist Lynn Gynn admitted that; “The song was so different and weird that I honestly didn’t expect the song to make it onto our record, let alone be the first single.” But along with bassist Brian MacDonald and Alex Babinski the trio recently signed with Rise/Velocity Records so we’re just looking forward to seeing this energy channeled into their full-length! So far, it’s early Paramore making for a perfect pop tune that’s sure to go down well with your Summer ear-tastings.
A little over a year ago (well a year and 2 weeks to be exact) we spoke about PLOY and their track VRDSNT. Today, their new track “Sunset Love” gives us even more reason to beam and burst about the duo. According to All Things Go, they’ll be releasing a track every Monday throughout July, so in the meantime this little up tempo electro-pop banger keeps the excitement we originally had still bubbling more than ever. It’s up for a download and keep your eyes glued for more in the upcoming weeks…
From the collaboration with Tomas Barfod on the insanely addictive track “Honey”, to a brand new album released last week, if you haven’t heard the great Danish multi-instrumentalist Brian Batz aka Sleep Party People new album, Floating yet, we’re just going to go ahead and assume you’ve been sleeping this whole time. It seems the more time passes though, the better he is getting and after his brilliant 2012 album We Were Drifting On A Sad Song, we’re not so surprised he’s floating above his original musical standards.
You can stream it full below, but do yourselves a favour and buy the album.
You are going to pivot in your chair because, everything about this is perfect.
From the Zack Galifinakki cameo and the oodling-canoodling between Feist and Kevin Drew, I was pretty much done within the first few seconds.
Here you will find Kevin Drew’s new video for the track “You In Your Were”, a title good ‘ol Galifianakki rips to shreds
..Just like his dance moves.
I’ll say no more just watch and weep.
