“Babelonia” by School Of Seven Bells

school of seven bells

I made a brief mention of this the other day and now I’d like to really focus your attention on a new track off the upcoming release of Disconnect From Desire, the upcoming full-length from loop-trio School of Seven Bells. The song is called “Babelonia” and seems to fit directly where the band left off with 2008’s critically acclaimed record Alpinisms. Produced byband member Benjamin Curtis (of Secret Machines) andJack Joseph Puigand, it all came together in the band’s home studio in Los Angeles. I’m already hearing the infectious harmonies ofdentical twins Alejandra and Claudia Deheza, and their dreamy/catchy hooks. Think I’ll probably like this, look forward to picking up the album (outJuly 13th on Vagrant/Ghostly International and Full Time Hobby in Europe).

In support of the release, the three-piece will play two shows at Mercury Lounge in their hometown of New York City, on June 9th and 10th.
