LISTEN: “I Only Have Eyes For You” by Beck

“I Only Have Eyes For You” is a classic American song, a standard written in 1934 by Harry Warren and Al Dubin and most famously recorded by the Flamingos in 1959. And now a whole host of indie artists have recorded covers of the song for artist Doug Aitken’s installation “Song 1,” which comes to Washington, D.C.’s Hirshhorn Museum 5/11. Former Stereogum dude and current Pitchfork editor Brandon Stosuy helped to organize the event, which will involve projections on the museum’s walls. The event will features versions of the song by No Age with Tim McAffee, Devendra Banhart with No Age, Lucky Dragons, High Places, Koen Holtkamp and Beck, which you can listen to below.
