Catching Up with Foreign Born, Little Joy, Ra Ra Riot, Peasant

Don’t have a lot of time here in the office today, have to be heading downtown to NXNE headquarters to pick up my pass and attend the town hall meeting. After that, a couple instores at Sunrise and shows and parties leading into the night.

Last night I hit the launch party then tried to make it into the Arts & Crafts party (where it was BSS performing). No luck though on the door, show was at capacity. Got to be a better early bird. But, I did meet up with Phil from Weewerk who took us into the Rosewater Supper Club to watch Great Lake Swimmers. I’ll talk more about this night next week with a post about Swim Drink Fish.

So, to keep things short, I’ll point you in a couple different directions, you do the work and get this music in your ears.

–Little Joy performed at Daytrotter recently and I couldn’t have picked two better songs for them to perform.

–Foreign Born gave us a new song on Stereogum‘s weekly download (The Gum Drop). Sign up. Its a good reason to look forward to wednesdays.

–Peasant recently stopped by The Laundromatinee to do a session.
