I got an e-mail from Bo Menning of the band Aestrid, who are currently in Toronto for a show tonight at The Ossington. The Netherlands-based trio are currently supporting their latest album, BOX, released in January this year on London-based Function Records/Suburban. Musically, think Dreampop/Post-punk/Krautrock delivered with a lot of intensity.
Anyone else hear Ben Gibbard, if he played more shoegaze? Good stuff, check out “Dover”.
