For fans of The XX, check out this new track “Sinking Stone” by Washington D.C. duo ▼▲GEMS ▼▲.  Sexy vocals, lush synths and heavily reverb-laden guitars paint this dreamscape.  Plus, an almost complete cutaway at 3:30 takes you away, only to throw you back into the songs’ outro.  The group (comprised of Clifford John Usher and Lindsay Pitts) formed last year and seem to be turning some heads.  Lucky folks on the east coast of the US can check them out for me, tour dates below.
