That might have been the fastest I’ve ever posted a track, from receiving it in my inbox minutes ago, to featuring right here.  Two of New York’s finest synth-pop bands Great Good Fine Ok and Panama Wedding have teamed up to create a shimmery cover of Philip Bailey and Phil Collins’ 1984 smash “Easy Lover.”

“In a lot of ways its the perfect cover for us to do together, because Peter and Jon’s voices work really well singing Phil and Philip’s parts,” Luke Moellman says. “I wanted to keep the drive and intensity of the original but put it in a more modern sonic context. The production ended up sounding like a French electro-house-meets-Dr. Luke spin on the original.”​
