The Maccabees

Subway ride home tonight…. It was packed. Everyone looked pissed. I was bobbing my head to the Maccabees.

They are a band from Brighton via South London who really seem to be blowing up over there. Haven’t seen them over in Canada yet, but I’ll be sure to keep my ears peeled. My best description of their sound is Bloc Party with Win Butler singing vocals.

If you head to their myspace page you can hear great songs. Really like First Love (check the video here). As well Just Like The Rain and Precious Time are well written. I bet its killer live.
