There’s something quaint about being with your friends in the winter time, squishing yourselves through the door and into the warm and cozy indoors after having been outside in the frigid air. As you dust off the snow and take off your jackets, there’s a collective feeling of warmth, comfort, and relief. Maybe you sip on hot chocolate or a nice mug of tea, and what better way to continue that warm welcoming mood than some mellow tunes from Ásgeir.
Ásgeir is an Icelandic singer-songwriter with a Bon Iver-esque tone as his delicate vocals have a similar calming effect. While he has a full length album, In the Silence, out in English, Hljóða Nótt, which hasn’t been translated, is by far one of my favorites.
