I had the best opportunity to sleep in today and I blew it. Like clockwork, I work up before 7, unable to shut it down again. Looks like the wee hours of Saturday mornings are blog time, when I’ll be catching up on a weeks worth of new music.
In my inbox was a new track from Scottish band Prides, the first since their acclaimed debut album The Way Back Up was released last year. “Rome” features huge, clattering drums against duelling synth and guitar lines, with lead singer Stewart Brock’s distinctive vocals
“Lyrically it’s a plea. To stay, to try, to forgive, to work towards something bigger and better. It was a joy to be writing again, it’s been too long” – explains frontman Stewart.
