Owlle showed up on my radar in the late part of 2013 after hearing her infectiously-catchy single “Ticky Ticky“. Her smooth, legato vocals over a throbbing rhythm made for a song that found its way on every dance playlist that I could concoct.
The French synth-songstress is releasing her debut full-length, “France“, on January 20th. The first single off the album, “Don’t Lose It“, is a strong foot forward to making her name known in the new year. It’s certainly more of a dance hall offering than her previous material, but the melody remains busy enough to leave her stamp of surreal pop over the pulsating rhythm.
Owlle is a name that you’re going to want to keep up with in 2014. With so many styles melding into quite fetching tracks, it may not be that difficult.
