Pearly Gate Music
Pretty sure I would have searched this band out if I had made the trek to Austin. Just from hearing the vibe from ‘Big Escape’ and the feelings of summer which it seems to invoke (always gets me), that would have been enough to catch a live set by Seattle’s Pearly Gate Music.
The band have been busy recently, tearing up SXSW at day parties for Brooklyn Vegan and Daytrotter before doing a couple dates with Xiu Xiu and tUnE yArDs. Now, they’ve been added to the Daytrotter Barnstormers tour this spring (with Ra Ra Riot, Delta Spirit, Nathaniel Rateliff and Free Energy), dates below.
This is all ramping up to the release of their self-titled debut (May 18th, Barsuk). Great monday discovery.
