Here’s some new material from Montreal’s Parlovr (pronounced Parlour), from their self-titled debut coming out next week on Dine Alone Records. Formed in the winter of2006 by guitarist/vocalist Louis David Jackson and keyboardist/vocalist Alex Cooper, the band really took form when drummer Jeremy MacCuish joined and became the a catalyst to fuse the foiling songwriting styles of the original two. Sounding like ‘Sloppy pop’, expect polaroppositesin their sound; ‘quiet and loud, screams and whispers, sing-alongs and spacey instrumentals, warm low-end and crisp, shimmering leads; short pop jabs and extended epics.’
Take a listen.
