LISTEN: “Phantom Limbs” by Boniface

Boniface is very pleased to announce details of a new single, ‘Phantom Limbs’. Named after the Winnipeg neighbourhood in which he grew up, Micah Visser aka Boniface spent his childhood days learning how to play a wealth of instruments until he could no longer remember when he stopped covering other people’s songs and began writing his own.

“Phantom Limbs” is the natural follow-up to his brilliant debut, I Will Not Return As A Tourist. It traces a line from the bombastic 80s; all soaring synths and programmed beats jostling with live drums in an echo chamber, through to the heart-on-sleeve torment of Future Islands and the sheer skyscraping chorus lines of The Killers. It’s a song that means business. A real show-stopping tune. It suggests a young artist with a canny knack for melody, and a devastating way of delivering it.
