Turns out Lydia Burrell is the name of producer Alexander Smith, recent signee toRemovador Recordings and Solutions;the record label co-founded by My Morning Jacket frontman Yim Yames and former MMJ guitarist Johnny Quaid. The album is a juxtaposition ofrichly detailed electronic production and Alexander’s earnest voice. Ring can be your first foray into that. A song which at moments seems to push the upper limits of what kind of repetitive piano lines and crunchy drums I can take in a folktronic song.

I think its his voice that keeps it all together.
