Nothing against “Kintsukuroi“, but if were in Hey Rosetta!’s collective shoes, I would have premiered “Soft Offering” as the first single off the bands’ forthcoming record, Second Sight (out October 21, 2014 via Sonic Records/Warner).  The album opener and clever play on words, “Soft Offering (for the Oft Suffering)”, is a swaggering, drum driven anthem for the long nights leading into the break of day.  Lead singer/songwriter, Tim Baker notes “It’s all about the morning coming to tear down the vision that the sweet, irresponsible, unscheduled hours that the night offers.”

Already confirmed for a November run of dates stateside with Montreal’s indie-pop icons, STARS, the two bands will continue the touring partnership in early 2015 with a stretch of confirmed co-headline shows across Canada in February, including back-to-back shows booked in Toronto (Danforth Music Hall) and Vancouver (The Vogue).
