I figured it would be around this time when I started finding summer mixes online. I’ve been tinkering with one myself, which hopefully I’ll be able to get to you soon.
Todays treasure is from the blog Music For Kids Who Can’t Read Good, called Summer (Or What It Sounds Like). Featuring a variety of great bands such as Phantogram, The Joy Formidable, Yeasayer, Free Energy and Local Natives, this mix is a 21 song playlist that you have to put on. I’ve been a fan of this site for quite a while now, do yourself a favour and check it out.
As well, just looking at the playlist, you get the sense it comes from a trusted source. A bunch of these tracks are not the album singles and promo tracks that hit everywhere on the net. They are those great tunes, tracks deep into great albums.
