New Music from Lincoln Jesser, “Untold”

It’s 4pm on friday of the long weekend and I’ve cracked a beer while tending to a few last minute to-do’s before I can get out of here. I meant to get this post up a little earlier in the week, but what can you do when you’re moving.

California’s synth-pop prodigy Lincoln Jesser is back with another new track, “Untold”, from his forthcoming debut album Modern Color (out 9/23). The album features nine emotionally engaging, feel-good electronic pop tracks, all written, produced, recorded and performed by Jesser. New From Lincoln Jesser, “Tops”

Lincoln Jesser and I have a good little thing going on right now. He sends me an e-mail with a new track, I get hooked on it, then post it to IMF. This time though, I asked him for more info about him, as when I checked my previous posts on the site I found only great songs from an artist I knew very little about.

Lincoln Jesser is a 23 year-old from Indio (home of Coachella) who writes, produces and sings everything on these songs himself. He also works as a producer and guitarist for renowned Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna, who he collaborated with to create a remake of George Harrison’s “Here Comes the Sun”, that landed as the closing song of Oliver Stone’s film “Savages” last year.

We’re to expect a lot of live shows and new music in 2014.

Something Right

Back in October we featured LA artist Lincoln Jesser and his song “We’ll Be Fine“. Now, I get to follow that up with his latest shaker “Something Right”. Friday night listening folks, put it on and sing along to “Let’s make the most of tonight”.

A couple repeat listens today to Lincoln Jesser‘s tune “We’ll Be Fine”. This LA based artist has shown that sometimes, a brief e-mail from a band can land you on the front page of IMF. Although, if you don’t give me enough info on you, I can’t keep writing. Maybe I should just let the music speak for itself?
