It felt a little bit like a slow week for new songs on the blogs, although I was still able to find you a few gems that you should hear this week. Spend a few minutes with this #trending post, featuring new music from Will Joseph Cook, Oslo Parks, Ofelia K and CHVRCHES.
All Will Joseph Cook is asking for is a minute of your time (actually more like 2:22). “A Minute Of Your Time” is the second track to be revealed from his sophomore EP Proof Enough, to be released on 11th August via Atlantic Records.
Oslo Parks (the joint project of producers Rob Flynn and Ian Booth) are back with a slice of catchy, upbeat synthpop, perfect to add to your summer playlist.
I covered Ofelia K‘s first single “Heart” a few weeks back and today we can hear her second single from the upcoming EP available August 2015 via South By Sea! Take a listen to “As A Bell”.
Finally, here’s the brand new song from CHVRCHES that the internet exploded about yesterday. “Leave A Trace” comes from the bands’ second album Every Open Eye, to be released September 25.

You might recognize singer Ofelia K from her multiple trips up the Hype Machine charts, earning three #1’s on the popular chart (twice as the vocalist of indie-pop duo Wanderhouse, and also alongside EDM producer Felix Cartel for “New Scene”).
If she sounds brand new to you, there’s no time like the present to get acquainted. “White T-Shirt” comes from her forthcoming solo EP, a song that “balances wistful maturity with a certain earnest and eternally young expression”. For me, it’s her sombre vocal delivery and “oh oh / woo oo’s” in the chorus that hooked me. #yesthatsmyguiltypleasure
