Going through some unfinished posts here on the blog and realized I have a weird way of ingesting music. I normally have these days where I consume as much as I can, going through my favorite blogs and a combination of online magazines, podcasts, listings and myspace pages. What I normally end up with is a whack of downloaded songs, a couple scribbles and notes, and generally 2-3 new posts waiting to be filled in with information.

I started (now finishing) this post on Chicago’s The Race because I’m really liked their songs and you should give them a chance. Check out the song Walls and Feathers off last month’s Ice Station (Flameshovel Records). Currently a five-piece (fronted by guitarist/main songwriter Craig Klein) that seems to have had their ups and downs over the years. And we seem to have something in common. Was reading his post on translating album reviews using online translators. Seems to be a hobby of mine as well, for kicks I do it with Beck lyrics…
