Blue and Silver by Lower Dens

lower dens

Who: Lower Dens from Baltimore, Maryland.

What: Great combination ofswarming guitar fuzz, bass waves, a haunting voice of lead singer Jana Hunter and pacing drums to keep it all together. This is Lower Dens, a “drone pop” (first time I’ve used that one) band who are supporting their eleven song album Twin-Hand Movement (Gnomonsong)with a string of tour dates with Bear in Heaven andWoven Bones, including a stop at CMJ.

Song: Blue and Silver. Parts remind me of a sleepyYeah Yeah Yeah‘s “Zero”. Head to Stereogum for a few more of their tracks.
